How to be a Member?

To become a Member, an individual should first submit a Membership application form. After that, the member candidate will need to take membership lessons prepared by Chicago UBF staff and elders. Candidates will also meet with the elders and pastors to confirm their faith and desire to be Chicago UBF members. Then they sign the Covenant Agreement form to be included as Chicago UBF members. Members are expected to remain in good standing in the church. All Members in good standing shall have one vote on all matters that come before the Congregation or which are submitted to a vote of the Members.

After submitting an application, complete membership classes with church leadership, sign the covenant agreement and meet the Chicago UBF Elders.

Chicago UBF membership enables you to have a voice in the workings of the church. Being a member gives you the opportunity to vote and be part of the decision making processes in the church. As a member, Chicago UBF will be your home church where you can join our community.

1) Confess faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord; 2) Agree with Chicago UBF’s Purpose Statement, Mission Statement, and Statement of Faith 3) Live a godly life compatible with the teachings of the Bible. Article 4 of the Chicago UBF bylaws provides further details.

To acknowledge Chicago UBF as one's primary local church of Membership. To support the ministry of the Chicago UBF church with prayer, participation, and giving. To accept the guidance of the Church leadership regarding discipline and conflict resolution.

No, there is not an annual fee. Members are encouraged to be generous in giving to the church.
