The old testament begins and ends with God helping his people to worship him properly – Cain to Malachi. Both Cain and the Israelites were offering what they had leftover, not their best to God. All throughout the OT God goes out of his way to address the worship problem. When our hearts are in a true position of worship before him, all else flows properly. We may experience deeper worship and we may foster true worship in our congregation as we serve.
