THANKSGIVING & PRAYER TOPICS

  • Mother’s Day on May 10: Brunch for mothers from 9:15-10:30am (in between worship services).Family photos during brunch and after 11am worship for only 30 minutes.
  • MBF (grades 6-8): New meeting once a month for May (5/22), June (6/19) & July (7/17) then each Fri.
  • Membership: Pray for new Members–Patricia Gunawan, Gloria Lee, and Helen Kim met with our Elders at the monthly Elders mtg (Faith & Danny will meet them next month).
  • Baptisms: Pray for Flavio Lagunas & Torin Lee to grow in Christ. See a pastor if considering baptism.
  • Special Prayer for world mission: Every Fri, 6-7am at the church, led by Rita Roberts (online option TBD; prayers for nations & our missionaries; must sign confidentiality form)
  • Next Men’s Meeting: Wed, 5/27, 6:30pm w/dinner. Presenters: Rob Moreno (on Work) and Jonathan Reese (on Perseverance).

  • World Mission Congress: 5/17, “Who will go for us?” P. Ron’s message, 4 LT speakers. MSC 5/18-20, 11 interest groups: PLEASE SIGN UP FOR ONE (P. Mark: The Sacred Relay - Beyond the Classroom: The Art of Relational Mentorship). Journey team: Minh Ngo, Oscar Cortes, Jason Lee, Hannah Albright, Jennifer Rios,  Theo Woessner, Daniel & Grace Mederich, Dylan Burke, Claudia Barrera, Annie Lee Sr.; 1000 new short & long-term mission volunteers may be raised.   • NAYAC: 5/29-6/1 at OSU, 341 reg. $400. ubf-nayac.org. Pray for 450 reg, All may encounter Jesus, have true fellowship; messengers, LT speakers (Joey Fishman (LA), Hannah Albright, +1), Seminars. 47 from Chicago UBF. Need to know who is driving or who needs a ride (QR code).

     

  • Pray for peace in Iran, Ukraine, Venezuela, Uganda & Middle East. Pray for N.Korea to open up.

  • HEALING & HOPE: Henry Park, Rebecca Choi, Dindo Basilgo, Mary Koh, Elisabeth Chung, Barbara Robinson, Sandy Ward, Hannah Shim, Ruth Lee. Healing/strength after surgery: P.Mark, P.Ron, Elder Jim Rarick. Dr.Samuel Park: neck surgery on 5/12.

  • MESSAGE PRAYER TOPIC: May God grant each of us the quality of faith that believes in the God who raises the dead.

  • We are excited to announce a Summer GriefShare Group for our church community! GriefShare is a Christian grief-recovery ministry and support program created to help those grieving the death of a loved one. Each group session is rooted in biblical encouragement, practical guidance, and support through shared experiences. Workbooks will be provided. 

    Facilitators: Lydia Shin and Kathy Vucekovich
    When: Monday evenings from 7pm - 8:30pm
    Start date: May 18th and weekly for 13 weeks
    Capacity: limited to 15 participants

    What to expect:
    • Video teaching from pastors, counselors, and individuals who have journeyed through grief
    • Group discussion and support
    • A personal workbook (provided) and devotional component
