What is Children's Ministry at Chicago UBF Church?

Building a strong spiritual foundation for children is vital. Our church offers dynamic year-round programs, including conferences, worship and praise, grade-level Bible discussions, park play days, Easter and Christmas celebrations, and much more. We warmly invite you to be part of our Children’s Ministry.

What We Do?

Chicago UBF’s Children’s Bible Fellowship (CBF) helps kids grow in faith, friendship, and God’s Word through joyful year-round programs. From retreats, festivals, and Bible-centered events to music, praise, and baptism preparation, children are guided to encounter Jesus personally. Our prayer is for each child to build a strong foundation in Christ and lifelong friendships in the body of Christ.

Children's Bible Fellowship (CBF: 1-8th Grads) DATE: Every Saturday | LOCATION: 6558 N Artesian Ave, Chicago, IL TIME: Worship Service – 10:00-11:00 am | Bible Study: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm Beginner's Bible Fellowship (BBF: 1y to 5y) *Date: Every Saturday *Time: 10:00-11:00 am *Location (Chicago UBF Leningrad House): 6540 N. Artesian Ave, Chicago, IL 60645 *Program: Worship, Games, Bible study & Fellowship *No drop off, parents should stay with their children during BBF While many of our programs are very fun, we believe that worship should be centered on loving God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength (Dt 6:5). Worship is meant to prepare children to offer their heart and listen to the word of God, so that they may prepare to enter Adult Worship with their family. Worship begins with energetic praise led by the children’s praise team. There is a time of prayer and reading of the word. Children prepare special music programs, including chorus and orchestra and give their offerings to God. There is a relevant, child-friendly message prepared by Adult Leaders to help children be fed with the word of God. A recap and then we finish with prayer. Worship Service is primarily children-led to help children to grow in leadership and stewardship for their worship service.

BBF Leaders and Teachers

BBF is a collaborative effort among the parents of attending children. Anna Diaz and Dennie Fernandez serve as coordinators, helping to oversee the weekly program. Through much prayer and teamwork, a biblical and age-appropriate curriculum is thoughtfully developed to help children grow in their knowledge of God, understand the Bible, enjoy fellowship, sing songs of praise, and pray together.
