What is the World Mission at Chicago UBF Church?
Carrying out the Great Commission of Jesus by sending missionaries based on Matthew 28:19-20.
Long-Term Missions: From the onset, UBF has emphasized world mission in obedience to Jesus' great commission "Go and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19). As of 2019, over 1,800 layman missionaries have been sent out to more than 90 countries in order to advance God's kingdom. One of our main prayer topics is to send out 100,000 missionaries to 233 countries by 2041.
What We Do?
Short-Term Mission: When people can first give brief periods of their life to missionary work abroad, it can open the eyes and the hearts of those uncertain of traveling to a new country for the first time, overcoming language/cultural barriers. Many lives have been changed through short-term missions and it can later start a movement of young people. Students can start looking beyond their small social circles and campuses and start having God’s greater heart and vision for the lost and the world.
