New Year New Adventures

Stephanie B. recently shared about her and Natan’s life in Nairobi. They express gratitude for the past year 2023 and look forward to 2024. Stephanie and Natan teach at West Nairobi School. Stephanie teaches English and Social Studies to a group of fourth graders and Natan teaches Math to ninth and tenth graders. They expressed gratitude for a blessed work environment where students are eager to learn and do well and they can integrate the bible into their subjects.

They spent their Christmas break this year locally in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, with Natan’s parents. Together they partook in activities such as hiking the Karura forest, petting farm animals, and learning to make soap. They’re creating a YouTube channel for Eritrean Lutheran songs. Despite some homesickness, they find comfort in faith and community. Stephanie shared an encouraging word “The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.” she shared she can find true peace and a home in God. As well God has provided them with a community that helps them feel more at home.
