The Loyola Easter Retreat began on Friday, March 27 with two group Bible studies: one for students led by William on Luke 22, and another for adults led by Moody and Mark. Both groups reflected on the Crucifixion of Jesus, setting a meaningful foundation for the retreat. The following day March 28, the retreat continued with a joyful gathering of 33 attendees under the theme, “He Is Risen" at the Chicago UBF Church Leningrad House. There were 4 Group Bible Study leaders - Jenna, Victor, Joaly and Charles. Ashton Dsouza delivered a heartfelt message on Mark 16:1–20, focusing on the Resurrection of Jesus. He emphasized the importance of resurrection faith that empowers believers to overcome life’s circumstances and the power of death. There were two powerful and life-changing testimonies shared by Justin and Jim, which deeply moved those in attendance. The retreat concluded with a warm time of fellowship, featuring an ice cream social and a bonfire where participants enjoyed roasting s’mores and hot dogs. The retreat left the Loyola attendees with renewed faith and hope in the risen Jesus.
