Called and Commissioned: Pastors David and Moody Ordained 2026

Chicago UBF joyfully celebrated the Pastoral Ordination Service of David Won and Moody Salah at the Chicago UBF Sanctuary, as members, friends, and guests gathered to worship God and celebrate His calling and faithfulness. The service opened with “Come, Thou Almighty King” and prayer by Pastor Ron Ward. Heartfelt testimonies about David and Moody were shared by Rich, Joseph Park, 3 more others followed by personal testimonies from both candidates. Dr. Ezra Cho then delivered the ordination message, “The Approved Worker of God’s Word,” based on 2 Timothy 2:15, encouraging them to faithfully handle God’s Word and shepherd His people with humility, integrity, and love.

A special time of prayer followed, led by Dr. Mark Yang, Daniel Yang, Pastor Teddy Hembekides, and Pastor Joshua Hong. Ordained pastors then participated in the Consecration and Laying On of Hands, officially recognizing David Won and Moody Salah as pastors.  Pastor Ron Ward commissioned the newly ordained pastors, who concluded the service with a final blessing, and the congregation sang “So Send I You—By Grace Made Strong.” Afterward, members and guests gathered for a joyful reception and fellowship meal, giving thanks to God for raising new shepherds to serve His church.
